2025 9th International Conference on Software and e-Business (ICSeB 2025) was held in Kyoto, Japan successfully during December 05-07, 2025.

Sponsored jointly by Kindai University, Japan, Kyoto Tachibana University, Japan and HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Netherlands, ICSeB 2025 brought together a diverse array of academics, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe. The conference fostered insightful discussions and innovative ideas aimed at addressing the multifaceted challenges facing the fields of economics, business, and management in the contemporary world.

Opening Remarks

Prof. Prof. Tadashi Dohi, Hiroshima University, Japan and Assoc. Prof. Masateru Tsunoda, Kindai University, Japan commenced with a warm welcome on behalf of the organizing committee, extending gratitude to all participants for their presence and contributions. Assoc. Prof. Hiraishi Tasuku, Kyoto Tachibana University, Japan welcomed global participants with a warm speech, building an academic bridge across national borders.

Keynote Speakers

The conference was honored to welcome Prof. Witold Pedrycz from the University of Alberta, Canada, as the keynote speaker. His insightful and influential talk, titled:

Focusing on core fields such as artificial intelligence, value-sensitive design, and data mining, the keynote speech session invited four top international scholars to share forward-looking research results and academic thoughts through a combination of online and offline methods, bringing a feast of ideas to the participants:

1. Prof. Witold Pedrycz (Online) | University of Alberta, Canada 

Title: Informed Machine Learning: Exploring New Directions —— In-depth analysis of the innovative path of integrating machine learning with domain knowledge, providing a new perspective for the interpretability and practicality of intelligent algorithms.

2. Prof. Koen Smit | HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Netherlands 

Title: Designing for Values in Action: A Problem–Solution Approach to VSD —— Focusing on the ethical and value dimensions in technological design, it constructs a practical framework that balances function realization and social value.

3. Assoc. Prof. Sen Chai | McGill University, Canada 

Title: How Experience Moderates the Impact of AI Suggestions on Researchers' Perceptions of Their Ideas —— Exploring the cognitive interaction mechanism in human-machine collaboration scenarios, providing empirical references for the optimization of AI applications in the field of scientific research.

4. Prof. Philippe Fournier-Viger (Online) | Shenzhen University, China 

Title: Advances and Challenges for the Automatic Discovery of Interesting Patterns in Data —— Sorting out the cutting-edge achievements of data mining technology, and facing the core difficulties and breakthrough directions in industrial applications.
